Looking Good Feeling Better!

Look Good... Feel Better is an international not-for-profit, product-neutral programme originated from USA. It was developed specifically for women undergoing chemotherapy or radiation treatment. It provides support by addressing the women's concerns such as treatment, nutrition and assisting them to cope with their looks and to build their self-confidence as they journey with cancer. The Singapore chapter of the Look Good... Feel Better was set up in 1997 by Can-Care patterned after the parent group in the US, which was established by Ed Kavanaugh , President of the US Cosmetic, Toiletry and Fragrance Association (US CTFA). The programme has since been adopted by Singapore Cancer Society in 2002.
This programme is a 3-hours hands-on workshop which encourages the participants to trial on the make-up, hair wigs and other hair fashion alternatives. It also provide an opportunity for the newly diagnosed ladies to interact with one another. Currently, this programme is run with the support of the Cosmetic, Toiletry and Fragrance Association of Singapore (CTFAS) and is conducted in National University Hospital, National Cancer Centre Singapore, KK Women and Children's Hospital, Changi General Hospital , Mt Elizabeth Hospital and Gleneagles Hospital.
