Breast Cancer Foundation is a non-profit charity organization, established in September 1997 under the leadership of Patron, Mrs Yu-Foo Yee Shoon and her dedicated executive committee comprising mainly lay people and some medical professional. The Breast Cancer Foundation’s mission is to eradicate breast cancer as a life threatening disease. Breast cancer is curable if detected early. Breast Cancer Foundation hopes that by raising awareness of breast cancer and encouraging women to go for screening regularly, early detection will enhance the changes of survival for patients.
The Breast Cancer Foundation aims to:
- Increase awareness of and knowledge on breast cancer and issues related to it to all sectors of the community
- Promote early detection and treatment
- Provide support services to those affected by breast cancer
- Work closely with various breast cancer related groups and organizations to complement and optimize efforts to eradicate breast cancer as a life threatening disease.
